Sanitizing Hacks For Your Home, Pt 2

April 2, 2020 / Michelle Tran / Cleaning Tips
0

Sanitizing and disinfecting our homes seems more important now than it ever has been. Cleaning is a great way to combat viruses and bacteria that might be sitting around the house. Last week, we saw the way wiping down light switches can be helpful in our house keeping regime. We’ll look at sanitizing again this week, focusing on other things we should sanitize but don’t.  Whether you’re the best cleaning company in town, a new start up maid service, or wanting cleaning advice to keep your home cleaner, sanitizing is a useful habit to form.

We can sanitize more than just light switches. There are other objects in our homes that we touch and handle frequently that should be sanitized and wiped down. It’s helpful in eliminating bacteria, germs, etc. from our homes. And hopefully sanitizing as a mindset can help be the stepping stone in creating better cleaning habits.

What Should I Be Sanitizing?

Whether or not you have an immaculately clean home, we should still be sanitizing certain things regularly. Since certain objects in our houses are touched and handled regularly by many different people, who are leaving and picking up whatever is on the surface.

Whatever you and your family handle the most, without even realizing it, are the things you should be sanitizing the most frequently. This could include all types of remotes; door knobs; cabinet handles; handles on microwaves, refrigerators, and ovens; knobs and switches on kitchen appliances; keyboards; phones; frequently used, hand held electronics; vacuum handles; broom handles, etc.

The list could go on, and it is no by exhaustive. Each house is unique, and there might be things you think of in your home that need to be sanitized from regular use. Sanitizing is a helpful tool, to both cleaning companies and home owners alike, to have in their cleaning arsenal! By sanitizing your home frequently and regularly, you’re keeping your home that much cleaner.
